Wonderopolis

http://wonderopolis.org/ is a great site to get your students thinking and a way to quickly teach concepts and ideas you would not normally get to touch upon. Every day, Wonderopolis posts a new question with a video about the subject attached. The question is then followed with an answer as well as activities that can be used for a home-school connection. One idea for use of the site is to start the class with the question and video displayed on your Eno board. Then have your students 'wonder' what the answer might be. This can be done formally or informally or you can post new ways of using the site.

This is one idea to make this a more formal daily activity:

*  On the money! (Correct)
*  Close but no cigar! (Somewhat correct)
*  Totally off base! (Not correct)
Whether we are correct or not, it is always a great strategy to wonder and predict. Now that we know the answer to today’s Wonderopolis question, what is something cool you learned in the reading? ____________________________________________
